Welcome to Letters to Our Church Family

"Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works.”— Hebrews 10:24 (NKJV)
Dear Church Family,
Welcome to the first edition of Letters to Our Church Family.
The church is more than a building we enter on Sunday morning. It is a family of believers joined together through faith in Jesus Christ. We worship together, pray together, study God’s Word together, serve together, and walk alongside one another through the different seasons of life.
That is the heart behind these letters.
Staying Connected Beyond Sunday
Sunday worship is an important part of our life together, but following Christ does not end when the service is over. Our walk with Jesus continues into Monday morning, our workplaces, our homes, our schools, and every other place God sends us.
Throughout the week, we want to continue encouraging one another to keep our eyes on Christ and remain grounded in His Word.
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another...” — Hebrews 10:24–25 (NKJV)
God never intended the Christian life to be lived in isolation. We need the Lord, His Word, and one another.
What You Can Expect Here
Through Letters to Our Church Family, we hope to share biblical encouragement, church updates, devotional thoughts, reminders, testimonies, ministry highlights, and other messages that will help keep our church family connected.
Most importantly, we want everything shared here to continually point us back to Jesus Christ and the truth of Scripture.
There is plenty competing for our attention throughout the week. Our prayer is that these letters will provide a small opportunity to slow down, open God’s Word, and remember what matters most.
We Have a Mission
While these letters are written to our church family, our focus cannot remain only within the walls of our church.
Jesus gave His followers a mission:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations...” — Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)
Our community needs the Gospel.
There are people around us who are hurting. Some are searching for answers. Some have never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel. Others may know about Jesus but have never trusted Him as Lord and Savior.
God has placed us where we are for a reason.
Every member of the church has opportunities to demonstrate the love of Christ, speak His truth, pray for others, share the Gospel, and help believers grow as disciples.
The mission belongs to all of us.
Moving Forward Together
As we begin Letters to Our Church Family, our prayer is simple:
May we grow closer to Christ, deeper in His Word, stronger in our love for one another, and more committed to sharing the Gospel with those around us.
Whatever this week brings, remember that our hope is not found in our circumstances. Our hope is found in Jesus Christ.
Keep praying.
Keep studying God’s Word.
Keep encouraging one another.
Keep sharing the Gospel.
And keep following Jesus.
We look forward to walking this journey together.
In Christ,
Cedar Branch Baptist Church
Faithful to His Word. Growing together. Sharing the Gospel.
